Author and Fitness Guru - Steve Dimon Talks About Health and His New Book

On April 22, 2012, Steve Dimon suffered an Ischemic stroke. Paralyzed from head to toe on his left side, he spent nearly a month in two different hospitals and three months in outpatient therapy in Los Angeles.

At the time of the stroke Steve Dimon was 63 years old and 100 pounds overweight. He suffered from the perfect storm of metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, morbid obesity and diet-induced inflammation.

He had come to L.A. to be an actor and model in 1986 and had succeeded. Then over the years he transitioned into producing live shows, special events, concerts, festivals, film & TV in Hollywood. But all that success, stress and Hollywood glamour caught up with him and he paid for it with a stroke one spring afternoon.

Being paralyzed from head to toe on his left side, including face disfigurement and slurred speech, he had to learn how to walk and talk again, eat his food, swallow, tie his shoes, go to the bathroom; he even had to relearn how to wipe his butt!

Now nearly 70 years old, 100 pounds lighter, he has a 32" waist, 6.5% body fat, weighs 175 pounds, and has literally turned back the clock and reversed all of his metabolic syndrome symptoms that caused his stroke through diet, nutrition, exercise & supplementation. His doctors use two words about his recovery: MIRACULOUS and AMAZING.

Steve does not believe in miracles though. What he does believe in is hard work and commitment! An actor, ex-athlete, fitness model and producer, with Midwestern values, he has recovered nearly 100% and attributes this to not only to hard work, mental toughness and discipline, but to the power of the human spirit and the will to live, and perhaps even a higher power! After saving his life, now he encourages others to follow in his footsteps and join him on his journey to a healthier and ultimately happier life.

His book is Health & Wellness Longevity Handbook
